SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The American Medical Association has issued a new Category III CPT code for Eko Health’s AI-enabled cardiac analysis platform, SENSORA, which takes effect July 1, 2025.

  • The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has included SENSORA in its July 2025 OPPS update with a reimbursement rate of $128.90 per use, reflecting federal support for AI-powered cardiac care.
  • SENSORA’s algorithms, clinically validated and published in leading journals, enable real-time detection of structural murmurs, low ejection fraction, and atrial fibrillation, improving early heart disease diagnosis.
  • Clinical studies show SENSORA more than doubles the sensitivity of murmur detection and achieves 85% sensitivity and 70% specificity for identifying low ejection fraction from a single auscultation point.
  • Eko Health has launched a resource center to support adoption and reimbursement, helping health systems and providers access guidance for implementing AI cardiac analysis into routine care.
